Description: The Hong Kong Journalists Association is run by working journalists for the sole purpose of improving the working environment for the men and women who gather the news in Hong Kong. Established in 1968, the HKJA seeks to enhance press freedom and the integrity of news coverage, and as a trade union, also aims to improve working conditions for journalists and to remove barriers to news gathering. No other organisation in Hong Kong has as long a history and as consistent a record in striving toward these goals.
